ios – Building an app with Kivy – Xcode ERROR loading the .gif file

[ad_1]

When running the Kivy-ios app on Xcode there is an error loading my .gif that plays as soon as the app starts. This results in a big white rectangle instead of the gif.
The issue here is of Kivy-ios as on my IDE it works just fine.

[ERROR ] [Image ] Error loading <Images/splash.gif>

I already tried using a .zip instead of the .gif file as Kivy loads the .zip with the frames from the gif as if it were a gif, but it gets displayed with a random order.

I understood there is a way to use PIL as the image provider, but I can’t seem to find a way to do that.

So the question is: how do I make the .gif work on Xcode? If it isn’t possible, what alternatives do I have?

This is my .kv file:

<Splash>
    BoxLayout:
        orientation: "vertical"
        size: root.width, root.height

        Image:
            source: "Images/bg1.png"
            allow_stretch: True
            keep_ratio: False

    FloatLayout:
        size: root.width, root.height

        Image:
            source: "Images/splash.gif"
            anim_delay:0.04
            anim_loop: 1

Thanks in advance
